About Giacomo Mantovani

Giacomo Mantovani is a renowed filmmaker, director, and photographer. Originally from Capri, Italy, he moved to London in 2009 to build his career in the commercial sector. After years of producing work for well-known clients such as Rio Tinto, OnePlus, Logitech, Nokia, and Expedia, Giacomo founded his creative agency, Mantovani Ltd.

Outside the commercial arena, Giacomo is dedicated to documenting social and environmental causes, producing acclaimed short films such as Plastic Garbage – Scourge of the Seas and Lightning, both shot entirely on smartphones. This has made him an ambassador for mobile filmmaking, leading panels and masterclasses worldwide.

In 2023, Giacomo's single edition print from his project LCKDN20 became part of the National Gallery’s collection, with further museum acquisitions expected in the coming years.

Rio Tinto

The second-largest mining group in the world, Rio Tinto specialises in extracting essential minerals and metals, supplying key resources for industries worldwide with a focus on sustainability and responsible practices.

Our collaborations with Rio Tinto span various campaigns, all aimed at highlighting their leadership in responsible mining practices. One of the most significant projects is the global "Finding Better Ways" campaign, which showcases their commitment to sustainability and innovation in the industry.

OnePlus

Premium smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is recognised for delivering high-performance devices with sleek designs, offering flagship-level quality at competitive prices.

We have been working with OnePlus for many years, producing ads, campaigns, lifestyle shoots, and the Shot on OnePlus series. The Back to Uni campaign achieved the company’s highest view-through rate, amassing over 11 million views on YouTube alone, with the lowest cost-per-view, and brought the highest number of followers to their channel.

Logitech

A global leader in computer peripherals and software, Logitech designs innovative products that enhance the digital experiences of consumers worldwide, from gaming gear to office solutions.

We have been working with Logitech on various campaigns, including ads for their partnerships with brands like Adobe. These projects emphasise how Logitech’s innovative hardware enhances creativity and productivity, consistently showcasing the value of these collaborations.

Nothing

Nothing is a tech brand known for its minimalist design and innovative approach to consumer electronics.

We have collaborated with them on a variety of projects, producing videos that highlight their unique products and vision. Our work has helped showcase their commitment to blending cutting-edge technology with sleek, user-friendly design across multiple campaigns and initiatives.

LCKDN20

LCKDN20 is a comprehensive documentation of the empty streets of London during the COVID-19 pandemic, captured on medium format film and hand-printed on fibre base paper, by award-winning filmmaker and photographer Giacomo Mantovani.

Part of the collection is being donated to museums to ensure it is preserved for future generations. In that regard, the single edition print ‘LCKDN20 - National Gallery F04’ is now housed at the National Gallery.

The Director of the National Gallery, Gabriele Finaldi, described the print as “an image of great elegance and poignancy“ that '“documents an important time in the life of the Gallery and in the history of London.” Finaldi further praised LCKDN20 as “an extraordinary photographic project, which is both aesthetic and documentary.”
